Welcome to Clockwork Cleaning! By using our services, you agree to comply with the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before booking a service.


1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Clockwork Cleaning website or services, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not accept any part of these terms, please refrain from using our services.


2. Services Provided

Clockwork Cleaning offers professional residential cleaning services tailored to meet customer needs. The scope of services, pricing, and availability may be adjusted at our discretion.


3. Booking and Payment

  • All bookings must be scheduled in advance through our website, phone, or email.
  • Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.
  • Any additional services requested may incur extra charges.
  • Cancellations or rescheduling must be requested at least 24 hours before the scheduled service. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the service cost.

4. Communications & Messaging

4.1 Appointment Communications

By booking a service with Clockwork Cleaning, you may receive appointment confirmations, reminders, and service updates via:

  • Email
  • SMS (text message) – only if you opt in
  • Phone call

4.2 Messaging Frequency

You may receive 1-2 messages per scheduled service depending on your communication preferences and service schedule.

4.3 SMS Messaging Terms 

If you opt into SMS communications:

Messaging Frequency: Appointment confirmations, reminders (24-48 hours before service), and post-service follow-ups

Messaging Costs: Standard SMS rates from your mobile carrier may apply. Clockwork Cleaning does not charge additional fees for SMS communications, but your mobile carrier’s standard messaging rates are your responsibility.

Data Rates: By opting into SMS, you acknowledge that your mobile carrier may charge standard messaging and data rates. You are responsible for any charges imposed by your carrier.

Opt-Out: You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by:

  • Replying STOP to any text message and you will receive confirmation
  • Contacting us at (804) 635-3322 or info@clockworkcleaning.com
  • Note: Service-related transactional messages (confirmations, reminders for active bookings) may continue while you have an active appointment

4.4 Marketing Communications 

You may opt out of promotional emails and non-transactional communications by:

  • Clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email
  • Contacting us directly at info@clockworkcleaning.com
  • Replying with your request via phone at (804) 635-3322

5. Customer Responsibilities

To ensure a smooth cleaning experience, customers must:

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information when booking.
  • Ensure cleaners have access to the property at the scheduled time.
  • Remove fragile, valuable, or personal items from cleaning areas.
  • Notify us of any special instructions or areas requiring extra attention.
  • If you opt into SMS communications, provide a valid phone number and accept responsibility for any carrier charges.

6. Liability & Damages

  • While our team takes every precaution to provide high-quality service, Clockwork Cleaning is not responsible for pre-existing damages or wear and tear.
  • In the event of accidental damage caused by our team, you must report it within 24 hours of service completion. We will assess and, where applicable, arrange a resolution.
  • Clockwork Cleaning is not liable for damage caused by improper maintenance of surfaces, fixtures, or household items.

7. Satisfaction Guarantee

Customer satisfaction is our priority. If you are not happy with our service, please contact us within 24 hours, and we will arrange a re-clean at no additional cost.


8. Privacy & Data Protection 

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. By using our services, you agree to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we:

  • Collect your information (name, email, phone, address, SMS data)
  • Use your data (scheduling, payments, service delivery, communications)
  • Retain your information:
    • Service & Payment Records: 7 years (legal/tax compliance)
    • SMS & Messaging Data: 12 months, then deleted
    • Website Usage Data: 12 months (then anonymized)
    • Email Opt-Out Records: Indefinitely (to honor your preferences)
  • Share your data with service providers (Stripe, PayPal, Twilio, EZ Texting, Google Calendar, Calendly, HubSpot, Zendesk)
  • Protect your data with SSL/TLS encryption and PCI-DSS compliant payment processing

9. Changes to Terms

Clockwork Cleaning reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on our website, and continued use of our services implies acceptance of any changes. Material changes will be communicated via email with at least 30 days’ notice.
